Finding a Stable Base
In a world that’s always changing, it can be hard to find a stable base to hold onto.
I think this happens to all of us. Change can be difficult because our brains and bodies become comfortable with routine. They like doing the same thing over and over. When our world becomes different our brain and our body find it hard to adjust.
But there is a place that is stable and that doesn’t change. That place is our own true self, our own spiritual being that existed when we were born, when we were eight years old playing outside, and where we are today.
It is a self that not only belongs to us – but is us. It is a self that is timeless and exists always.
